BOXER® Engine

Drawn from over 40 years of intelligent performance, the horizontal layout of the SUBARU BOXER® engine combines balance with power and efficiency. 

Turbocharged

The high-performance of an intercooled turbocharged 265 horsepower engine is standard on the WRX, while the WRX STI turns up the boost to deliver a full 305 horsepower engine.

DCCD

STI's Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) All-Wheel Drive enables you to define how the Subaru AWD system distributes power.

Track Tuned Suspension

The WRX features a sport-tuned 4-wheel fully independent suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars. The STI takes it up a level with a high-performance track-tuned suspension with inverted struts, pillow ball mounts, and aluminum-alloy lower L-arms.

Manual Transmission

The WRX comes with a fully synchronized 5-speed manual transmission with Incline Start Assist. The STI has a quick- shifting close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission.
